Aspartic aicd is white crystals or crystalline powder, odorless having a slightly acid taste. It's soluble in acid and slightly soluble in water but Insoluble in ethanol or ether.
L-Aspartic Acid can be added into cool drinks as nutritional supplement. It is used in medicine as ammonia detoxicating agent, hepar function accelerator or fatigue refresher. And it can also be used as biochemical reagent, medium and intermediate in organic synthesis. It is one of the major raw materials for sweetener Aspartame and for the pharmaceutical intermediate L-Asparagine Monohydrate.
